26 May World Class Bushveld Accommodation
Beautiful Bushveld with Elegant Accommodation
When visiting one of South Africa’s large national parks, many tourists who are unable to obtain lodgings in park rest camps, arrange accommodation outside the borders of the game reserve, taking day trips to view game within the park, and leaving again before the gates close for the night.
However, for a true, authentic bushveld experience, one needs to spend at least a couple of nights within the bush, surrounded by untamed nature and all its creatures. Very little comes close to the sounds of the nocturnal animals’ calls and cries in the dark wilderness of the distinctive southern African bushveld. It’s an experience unlike any other in the world – one that is as memorable as the African continent itself.
Chalk and Cheese
Then, there’s bushveld accommodation and private, luxurious bushveld accommodation. They are as different as chalk and cheese, with only one thing in common – the magnificent indigenous bushveld. A rugged, rough and ready camp with few or no amenities may be fine for some adventurous souls, but most people prefer luxury and creature comforts.
A Critical Question
“Roughing it” is not everyone’s cup of tea, but if lovely comfort is, where should you book your breakaway accommodation? You really want a 5-star establishment that offers superior accommodation with first-class guest facilities, yet without compromising on the main reason for your visit – the bushveld, its wildlife and the peaceful, tranquil solitude of unsullied nature.
The Ideal Answer
Although our private game lodge, Fifty Seven Waterberg, is nestled in the middle of a private bushveld reserve, within a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, which is proclaimed as a World Heritage Site in 2001, our resort offers the best of 5-star elegance and luxurious amenities, despite being located in 35 000 hectares of undeveloped bushveld wilderness and natural beauty.
Space Aplenty
We only have five guest suites. To the uninitiated, this may mistakenly represent a small lodge, but nothing could be further from the truth. Our smallest unit is 80 square metres in size, tastefully furnished and elegantly decorated. Each room features a king-sized bed overlooking the unit’s own private patio, which in turn provides wide, wonderful vistas over the bushveld landscape.
Our guests are also welcome to enjoy the very spacious communal areas in the main lodge buildings, where a clear blue infinity swimming pool, installed in the timber deck that looks out over the bushveld, invites you to have a dip whenever the fancy takes you, after lazing on the loungers, looking across the landscape, or upon your return from a guided game drive.
Our mission is to provide our guests with an authentic bushveld experience, luxurious accommodation, top facilities and 5-star excellence. Why not make it your mission to visit us?
