With the entire country experiencing drought, I am happy to report that we have had some recent rainfall which in turn makes the gorge next to the lodge a beautiful sight; the flow of the stream next to our fig tree deck provides a place of solitude. Even though each specie’s natural cycle has moved forward by two months, we are still seeing births which is very encouraging too. Due to the Canine Distemper Virus affect on the reserve, two new prides of lions will be introduced which is very exciting for us.
