Enjoy Unparalleled Five-Star Elegance with Our Luxury Game Lodge
Few things in life are as thrilling as getting up close and personal with the famous Big Five in their natural habitat. Seeing nature in all its uncaged, wild, and free glory is a profound and extraordinary experience that not everyone will have the chance to enjoy. If you, however, are looking for such an experience, then a visit to our luxury game lodge is surely one you will never forget. Here, we warmly welcome each guest into opulent sophistication, while still nestled amongst 35 000 hectares of raw and unfiltered South African beauty.
What to Expect When Staying with Us
If you have been disappointed by a so-called luxury game lodge before, then you will be pleased to know that your satisfaction is our guarantee. Our commitment to five-star excellence means that you, our favoured guest, are privy to plenty of spoils and pampering. At our exclusive accommodation, we lodge a maximum of only 20 guests at a time in our ten, privately located suites. Our spacious suites are unusually large, with at least 80 square metres of room in which to rest and relax.
Clean and minimalistic, the interior design of each suite is African-inspired and draws elements from various warm, earthy textures and textiles. Beautiful wood finishes, plenty of natural light, and balanced decorative accents all lend to a relaxing and peaceful living space. Your tranquillity is our ultimate goal, and you can be sure that staying with us means a safe space to unwind. Every room comes complete with a study desk and comfortable armchair, ideal for those who would like to get a little work or study done, or just sink into the book they have been meaning to read for a while. Our game lodge suites also feature a king-sized bed and luxury bedding for an undisturbed, peaceful night’s rest. Lastly, and most importantly, each guest has access to their own private patio, which allows for superb views into the reserve.
Our main lodge, of course, is also a hub spot for some downtime, and guests of our luxury game lodge can decide between enjoying a game drive, tanning out on our deck, or having a refreshing dip in our pool. You are also welcome to kick back on a sofa or get some work done at a desk in the main lodge.
Guests interested in the conservation of animals (or those who have seen the MTN Connected Wildlife advert filmed at the Welgevonden Game Reserve) will be interested to learn more about how the reserve is currently making use of cutting-edge technology to track the behaviour of collared prey animals, such as zebras and impalas. This is in order to determine a breach in their boundaries and potential poaching activity. In this way, commonly poached animals, such as rhinos in particular, can be protected pre-emptively before they are killed.
