A Haven for Wildlife
While a stay at Fifty Seven Waterberg offers our visitors the ideal opportunity to chill out and relax, the Welgevonden Game Reserve, in which we are located, forms part of the Waterberg Biosphere Reserve, which was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2001. This area is thus home to an awesome array of flora and fauna. In addition, we offer the wildlife enthusiast the added benefit of being located in a malaria-free zone.
Besides the reserve’s status as one of the few locations in which it is possible to spot all of Africa’s iconic Big 5, the region also has more than 50 species of mammals. For the dedicated bird watchers, the region boasts in excess of 300 species of birds.
To ensure that our guests are able to enjoy the best possible wildlife experience, we also provide the services of a knowledgeable and experienced local guide.
